Yuletide squee!
Time for Yuletide recs! I'll be editing this post as I read more awesome stories.
Lucid Dreaming - Kuroshitsuji AKA Black Butler: This is what I got for Yuletide and I really couldn't be happier. Lyrical with shades of creepy, yummy and hotwrong and just what my pervy shota fancying brain wanted.
Ivy League Hospitality - Across the Universe: The Max/Jude arriving-at-Harvard missing scene that should have been in the movie. Max is insane and off-the-wall, Jude is rolling with it as usual.
I'll Find You in the Morning Sun - Angels in America: If anything could make me believe that Prior was going to fall back in love with Louis's damn fool self, this was it. Beautiful in the way the series was, meaning the hurt is right there on the surface.
Give me Love (Give me Peace on Earth) - The Bible, New Testament: If Jesus had come during the 60's instead of all those thousands of years ago, this is what it would have been like. And it's perfect.
Afterwards - The Dead Poet's Society: Todd, becoming the man he should be and surviving after Neil.
Static - Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog: Post-movie, Dr. Horrible seen through the eyes of one of the crazy fangirls. Billy shows through in the best places here.
Lend Song a Sweeter Grace - Dragonriders of Pern - Harper Hall: When Menolly returns to Half-Circle. Fierce and defiant in just the way I wanted from her.
Hey, Little Girl - Grindhouse (Deathproof): Kim/Zoe girlporn that I didn't realize I wanted for Christmas, but found delicious and wonderful anyway. Both Kim and Zoe's voices are spot on, and there is excessive hotness.
By the Waves We Left Behind - Madeline L'engle - Many Waters: Sandy and Dennys, trying painfully to be normal. They just can't manage to leave the unicorns out of the equation.
Brotherly Affection - The Importance of Being Ernest: I've been far too involved in this play recently, since I had to design costumes for the whole thing, but this was delightful. Jack and Algernon being ridiculous in their particular fashion, with bits of slash sprinkled on top.
Terminus - Young Wizards: It is no secret that I am a sucker for Tom/Carl. And it's nice to see them being young and messing up, and having Kit and Nita come and clean up their mess for once instead of the other way around.
